Nothing but the Truth - my thoughts (For LA Assesment) @ 1:17 AM

In my opinion, I feel that this story is relatively sad and this is due to some characters in the book.Firstly, Phillip got his sad ending which got him transferred to another school that he was not familiar and disliked. Also, Ms.Narwin had no choice but to resign from her job as an English teacher due to the "bad" publicity she was receiveing the the emotional stress from the public. The consequences of the sad endings of these two cahrarcters was due to some differences and attitudes of other characters. The next few pararaph will tell you more.

Firstly, the consequence of the resolution for Phillip was due to him not telling his parents what problems he was facing and whether he needed their help. Also, he did not tell he truth to why he sang the national song when they were asked to be quiet and why he hated Ms Narwin that much.He actually did that to irritate her, hoping for him to be transferred to another class with another English teacher. He also did not speak that he failed to get into the school's renowned track team, probably afraid that he disappointed his parents. He also did not want to stress out his parents. In my opinion, things might have turned out better and his life would not change in that manner.

Also for Ms Narwin's case, the one to be blamed should be the principal. He should be concerned of his fellow teachers and put himself in Ms Narwin's shoes instead of just caring about the school's reputation.Ms Narwin, however can be more caring and thoughtful to her students, especially ones like Phillip. She can also change her teaching method to suit her students.

In conclusion, this story is well-written as it talks about how our little actions can change the people around us. The cause of many problems is also usually originated from us, not others.
